---- Announcement ----

Following the announcement that ARC Foundation is winding down and transferring key projects to Asylos, we wanted to inform you that the COI Forum ceased its operations. It will be kept 'alive' as an Archive for now in order to preserve information and resources shared over the course of its lifespan, but it won't be managed or moderated.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact ARC at info@asylumresearchcentre.org

ARC, the Dutch Council on Refugees and ACCORD want to thank you for your interest in the COI Forum over the years and your membership.
---- Original post ----

High quality country of origin information (COI) contributes to fair and efficient procedures for international protection. The ecoi.net community platform has been launched to foster the discussion, knowledge sharing and networking among organisations and professionals active in the field of COI.

The first forum available on the community platform is the “COI Forum”, managed by the Asylum Research Centre Foundation (UK, formerly: Asylum Research Consultancy):
The COI Forum is a free online tool for all COI researchers and users of COI working in refugee status determination to share publications and ideas on COI research and sources, as well as to develop shared resources. The COI Forum is open to such organisations and individuals, subject to approval by the COI Forum moderators, but is a confidential private discussion group only for the use of its members."
Requests for membership to the COI Forum can be directed to Asylum Research Centre Foundation. Please follow these instructions: COI Forum Governance & Membership info. While the community platform is run by ACCORD / the Austrian Red Cross, we are not involved in the moderation or the granting of membership for the COI Forum.

To access the community platform, you need an ecoi.net account. Registration for ecoi.net is free.

Please note that there is currently no plan to create public forums on the platform.

Please see the Forum help for details on how to post and use this platform.

Please respect the Forum rules.
